It's been years since I've walked down this old road,
No one really goes here anymore,
Since they closed up all the bars,
Raised the rent up to the stars,
Now it's just some real estate ghost.

As I turn off Broadway,
Where the lights once lit the street,
From bars, cafes and so much food to eat,
It's weird to be back here,
So quiet after dark,
Everything's shut early on a Friday night,

Where did the music go?
Songs of pain, songs of hope.
How come we don't hear them anymore?
When did the artists leave?
Are they hiding unseen?
Tell me when was Sydney sold?

Where Mr Falcon's was.
